Welcome to the Shoot Stories Library. This site, part of the Alan Skyrme Photography group, has been
established to keep copies of articles that are written as part of every photographic assignment we
undertake. These run throughout the year, every year, and are focused on Travel, Food and Drink, and
Adventure Tours. We have a blog which is now updated on a regular basis since the end of December 2008

| What's on offer at Shoot Stories Our normal practice, when undertaking Travel Photography assignments, is to maintain notes and prepare outline articles in a number of formats. In general we will produce 3 versions of an article: 500 words, 1000 words, and 2000 or more words. This provides us with something that can be shown to potential buyers either as an off-the-peg article (ready for publication as it comes) or as the basis for an article tailored to suit the publisher's plans for an upcoming publication, that we can tailor in joint consultation. |

It is our preference to sell
articles jointly with the images
we have produced. We are
flexible, though, and are
agreeable to having our
articles published with a
majority of the accompanying
images coming from Alan
Skyrme Photography.

| This site was established in 2008. It will take a short while (!) to transfer articles from other sites / archives to Shoot Stories, and to add new articles from recent trips but we are getting there. Along-side each of the articles (2 pages for 500 word articles, 4 pages per 1000 word articles etc) there will be a few sample images. There will also be a link to the Shoot Images Gallery site where a more comprehensive selection of relevant images can be found. Only thumbnail images will appear on this site. Only the short 500 word versions will appear. Access to longer versions by arrangement (contact us by e-mail) |
